defining moments

today’s topic shall be a little more personal. on the topic, everyone has a defining moment or moments in their life. unexpected events in life, which shaped us to become who we are. i had a few in my life and this is my story…

1) mom went through 6 excruciating months of treatment in order to keep me. was still born prematurely, but i survived. wahey!

2) whooping cough when i was about 5 years old, resulting in weak lungs and other respiratory issues until now.

3) had enough of people calling me fatty and lost some weight. gained some confidence at the sametime. still maintained my morbid sense of humour to negate the overweight issue.

4) lost my maternal grandma when i was 10 years old and i suddenly didn’t fear death anymore. i hope to go the way she did; surrounded with love and peacefully.

5) chose better education over friends and ended up in Kepong secondary school. made a few life-long friends in that tenure and learnt about life. still learning about it every other day.

6) got a computer and decided i would pursue this as a career rather than being a lawyer. i still wonder what the circumstances might be if i had chosen otherwise.

7) skipped the TAR College offer to wait for my University application, which failed and i ended up with APIIT. again, made some really good friends here. college life was some of the best days of my life, i might say.

8) met a girl through my friend, who taught me about love. experience is the best teacher, but it can be a painful lesson at times. be prepared to fall and pick yourself up, only to repeat this process again and again.

9) entering the workforce and learning about the “real world”. things seem so simple when you’re young and carefree, but work will soon destroy this perception.

10) starting this bloody blog, thereby sharing my ramblings with total strangers. *grins* thank you all for sharing my thoughts and what not. you all have been a great audience.

well, that’s it in a nutshell. alright, homework time people! yeah, you didn’t think you could come in here and escape so easily did you?! blog and share your own ‘defining moments’ in life and drop me a comment. later…

the chamber

for sometime now, the ‘reality show’ phenomenon has swept across the globe. big time and big bucks started with the Survivor series. i sometimes wonder, if a bunch of people were really stranded on a friggin island, i think they would be busy ’surviving’ than ’voting’. anywho, i know it’s just for entertainment and ratings.

not too long ago, i had one of those mindless chats with me mate, shum. i proposed this reality show idea to him. i named it, the chamber. sounds good, no. the show is about 2 individuals, preferably from the opposite sex. locked in this chamber for a month. they will have no connection to the outside world during the duration. there will be no comforts such as a radio or TV. the bare necessities to survive like food, clothing and hygiene stuff only. i would like to see how the two persons interact and co-exist with no forms of distractions. i figured one week would be too short and a month sounded just about right. guessing either they end up lovers, best friends, friends or just plain mutilate one another. no outside influence. just plain raw human nature stuff. what do you all think of this idea?

hoping to laugh in Mr. Donald Trump’s face, for his struggling efforts in The Apprentice. hoping even more to make a quick million before i turn 30.

my dirty secret

i’m gonna plagiarize the Alcoholics Anonymous introduction, to kick this off. hi, my name is nawooz and i am a coffee addict. i have been addicted since i found out, that i get kicks from caffeine. *grouphug*

i am pretty sure i am not the only one out there afflicted by this ‘addiction’. there is a saying that states, ‘every man has his poison’. mine happens to be coffee. i love it in all the quirky flavours and preparations. nothing gives me a buzz better than coffee. i love how it smells, especially a nicely brewed one in the morning. sometimes, i wish i could have a blood transfusion and replace my blood with coffee. that way, i get my buzz 24×7 and you know what would be the kicker, coffee and chocolate, together in my bloodstream. feel good times with a zing of buzz-iness.

so what’s your poison?

possible?

i have given careful thought to some of my theories and i believe, it should be shared. laugh and scorn at it, if you will. hope it entertains you and please take it with a pinch of salt. what am i saying, just read on…

to date, my most controversial theory presented. adam and eve were not banished from the ‘garden’ for eating the forbidden fruit, an apple. it was actually the chocolate dip meant for the single apple (candied apple)! i mean, think about it. an apple versus chocolate. ask any kid and i think you will understand, why this theory seems more plausible than the ‘original’ version. therefore my readers, men’s (and women’s) greatest sin was not stealing and eating an apple. t’was the chocolatesssssss! why would a snake even bother about an apple. again, it was the chocs. the lure of the brown gold was just too much for adam and eve.

now, some might say that my theory has no basis. well, i have to agree with you. but i still prefer it compared to contrary belief. studies have shown, that chocolate evokes sensory experiences akin to that of an orgasm. feel good food with sexual benefits. ’nuff said. so what has an apple done for you, may i ask?

Disclaimer: no apples, worms living within the apples, snakes and gardens were harmed in the presentation process of this here theory. move along now people, nothing to see here.
