my dirty secret

i’m gonna plagiarize the Alcoholics Anonymous introduction, to kick this off. hi, my name is nawooz and i am a coffee addict. i have been addicted since i found out, that i get kicks from caffeine. *grouphug*

i am pretty sure i am not the only one out there afflicted by this ‘addiction’. there is a saying that states, ‘every man has his poison’. mine happens to be coffee. i love it in all the quirky flavours and preparations. nothing gives me a buzz better than coffee. i love how it smells, especially a nicely brewed one in the morning. sometimes, i wish i could have a blood transfusion and replace my blood with coffee. that way, i get my buzz 24×7 and you know what would be the kicker, coffee and chocolate, together in my bloodstream. feel good times with a zing of buzz-iness.

so what’s your poison?

the man I fell in love with. that love is killing me but in the same time nothing else can make me feel so high! there is no chance for us to be together… althouhg I can’t imagine my life completely without him.

Hii Nawooz… i am back to confess something.. and updated my blog

i want to CONFESS my addiction to maplestory. as you can read in my blog, i am having my calculus paper tomorrow and i chose to spend 1 hour plus to play the maplestory GM event-Ola-Ola. i know this is wrong but i pledge to myself not to play anymore until my exam ends… which is tomorrow. so please come and see me in the game tomorrow night.. hehe.. >wonders whether there would be a group hug

hellooooo there Mimi. i know where you’re coming from. all i can say is i’ve been there and done that. maybe, we just prefer to live in a dream state. ignoring the realities, which weigh down heavily on us. i respect you for clinging on to hope even all you face, is despair. be strong Mimi. time will tell if you have made the right decision. here’s to wishing you all the best in life *cheers*

hey hey krabby patty. you know what, that freaking games needs to DIE! it’s so evil. it made my sister into a zombie and she actually spent so much time on the PC to actually kill my graphics card. anyway, 1 hour isn’t that bad for a short break or stress reliever. i can’t study for more than 2 hours anywayz. so what did you get? sis got to play 3 times. won 2 time and lost 1 time. she got 100 ice pops and 15 amethysts -_- how lame is that? anyway, good luck or your final paper. i’ll have to see if the ‘zombie sis’ will let go of the PC a lil while tomorrow. ciaoz~

    Hi Nawooz… have u seen the charlie and the chocolate factory?i think you would love to be in that factory because you get to see a river where chocolates replace water streaming inside. and then the waterfall also gushes chocolate… yummy… (;
anyway, i guess my poison would be the TLC that i’m yearning from linus*. hehe… but besides that, maybe it’s the shoes and bags that make up the poison needed to *kick* me 24/7.

  5. nawooz says:

i haven’t watched the movie, but read the book when i was very young. even then, i could imagine the chocolate river. yummmm. jump in and just open my mouth while swimming. hehe. i’d die of diabetes in 2 hours i think. TLC from linus…mmm. this one is tough, but maybe got some other person in future, who will fill that void in your life.

handbags and shoes (also clothes). womens MUST have items. i bet most women envy Donatella Versace’s shoe ‘empire’ :D

  6. bLuE AnGeL says:

    Yeah…Def absolutely!no doubts about it man.if m’sia doesnt haf that movie, come s’pore to watch it… hehe…

  7. nawooz says:

hehe…if i do, it will be the most expensive movie experience ever! tempting though, i read some ads about special RM46 tickets for Sentosa Island tour or something. haven’t been in S’pore for like ages.

Nawooz, once again, you hit home with me. *teardrop*…
My boyfriend is a coffee feign (says he’s been suffering with this uncontrolled affliction ever since he decided he was going to be a writer)…When I say addicted, I mean ADDICTED, as in, it is his natural drink of choice to accompany just about any meal and/or occassion. Fresh strong Joe at 5am, then again at 10am, again at 12:00pm, then 2:00pm and naturally, again, a nice strong coffee, khalua and vanilla cream cocktail made by yours truly at the wee hour of 8:00pm. And yes, it takes forever to get to bed, but, so says he, "it’s worth it…"

the worst part about it is that I’ve never truly been able to help him. In fact, I’ve become an "enabler" with my cocktails and breakfast voyages every Sunday to the best coffee spot in town (or, our suburban neighborhood). But, when I see how happy he gets as he consumes his iced capachino (i know there’s no such thing as an iced capachino, but we’re in arizona, so we can’t drink it hot–so more liek an iced latte) with 5 extra shots of expresso, I just can’t tell him what a problem it has become. I mean, why should we deprive ourselves of the things that make us the happiest? If you find great pleasure and a latte with 5 shots of expresso, who I am to tell you not to? So…*teardrop*…all I can say is…I’ll pray for you, Brother…

    Dear Flybaby, that’s on the high side man. hey nawooz, how many you hit per day?can you still get to sleep?if i down 3 cups, i’ll be HyperActive for the rest of the night. (;

  10. nawooz says:

i maybe an addict, but i think your man has it worse than me :D i will always remember my first quad-shot espresso. we were all at my friend’s birthday bash. at around 2am, we decided to drive 2 hours up this highland resort (genting’s for those curious people) and bum around. it was bloody freezing up there when we arrived and we decided to hangout at this famous coffee franchise outlet. everyone had the ‘nice’ stuff. ice-blended yada yada. i decided to hit it up with a quad-shot espresso. put my order and the barista freaked and called her shift manager. that’s when i knew i hit jackpot.

he calmly strolled over and asked if i would like it in four separate shots or in a coffee mug. not wanting to burden the poor dishwasher, i choose the latter. he rigged up my order and said, "Enjoy your coffee" and winked. did i see a hint of respect when he handed it to me. heh heh. a few of my friends decided to have a sip and grimaced at the taste. now those, who have tasted bitter stuff, can probably relate to what i’m describing. when it hits the tongue, it doesn’t taste bitter, but this sour-ish aftertaste permeates your mouth. i downed the mug and sat there for a moment.

let’s just say, i made it through the journey down. had to drive cause all the others were stoned and most just passed out in the car :D reached my house after 2 hours of downhill driving and winding backroads. got out and told one of them to take over. walked to the train station, where i had my bicycle parked yesterday. cycled the 20 minuted uphill back to my home. showered and then went to bed. the kicker…i spent the whole morning and afternoon staring at the ceiling unable to sleep. drats! i had this major headache, but could not sleep due to the coffee, still in my system.

that’s when i started a lifelong partnership with a coffee bean. that was kinda long for a comment. next time, i’ll convert it into a post :D

  11. bLuE AnGeL says:

Hehe… (; so you are still normal. well, i dont know how some people can drink dozens of dosage but the caffeine doesnt hit them home. hmmm

  12. Spud says:

What? Maplestory? I got tired of that game so fast.

Personally, it’s any junk food for me. I consider myself really in shape; that’s because I am. But I love the convienience of going to MCDonalds or grabbing a bag of chips and a snapple when I bike into town to do something for instance, or even to have a chocolate bar while I read a good book. It’s a experience thing.

I also love the smell of coffee but I think it tastes disgusting. I’ve yet to develop a taste for it.

  13. Shan says:

haha… coffee has NO effect on me. or probably cos i don’t go for the expresso shit. but those home coffees, well i can just drink em and sleep right after. hehe…

  14. Yvy says:

the deadly teh tarik….MUST have a daily dose if not, i get a major headache - like some sort of withdrawal symthoms. sigh. terrible lar…

  15. nawooz says:

eee Yvy…don’y let DreamCatcher see that post. she would kill you from philippines just to have a nice cuppa teh-tarik :D

shan, i think you need something stronger ;)

  16. Yvy says:

hahaha!!! really??? heheh…..well, just to rub it in a little…i’m gonna go get my TEH TARIK for the day….byeeeee!!!!! *BIG GRIN*

ps. nothing can keep me awake at night. not nescafe, not tea, not kopi-o kau - NOTHING. o…maybe beer lar. :D

  17. nawooz says:

oit Yvy…awake and mabuk are two different things kayyyyyy. haha. but whatever works for you. as i said, every man/woman has their poison. on lighter note, i remember something my friend does when we complain we are sleepy or tired. he would give that lecehrous (hamsap) grin and then move in closer. try to grab both sides of your face and give you the "kiss of Life". more like the kiss of Death right. anyway, you had the choice of plain kiss or the special, "with TONGUE ACTION!" batteries and dude sold separately. let me just say, many a sleepy driver have been too horrified by the experience and vowed to not show signs of sleepiness in his company. heh heh heh. to qoute him at this moment, "Yvy, you want soooommmeeee??"

  18. Yvy says:

    eeeeeeeewwwwww!!! tongue some more????

anyway, i cant get drunk on beer coz i cant drink enough to make me drunk - the taste n smell of it!! *gag* 1 can boleh lar….:P

  19. can i make friend with you??
