early christmas

don’t you just love receiving gifts? well, this weekend has turned out to be an early christmas for my newly formed team and I. at first, i was skeptical of the new team’s performance. we have 2 members aged 15 and ranging to 25. a bunch of mismatched rag-tag individuals, if i may say so. the team captain, thiru, was down with the flu and so i took over the reigns as vice captain.

wonders of wonders, we played three friendly’s against more experienced teams and we won. how’s that for a surprise? we saw a few jaws drop that day. i casually told my team manager, that we now officially are, a ‘team’. we then took the Millennium Series 2005 version 5.1 test for all marshalls. this bit was a little disappointing though and i would find out the results on Sunday.

moving on to Sunday (yesterday), we gathered again at Bukit Jalil for a photoshoot-session for some articles. we had a huge surprise coming. the team manager called us all around for some pow-wow. not unusual actually, but then he told us to meet him by his Toyota Unser. cut to the chase, we are now proudly sponsored from top-to-toe by System X (http://www.systemx.com/). they are also the main sponsors for Team Avalanche, currently ranking third in the world behind Dynasty and XSV. we each received merchandize valued at over RM1,000. talk about an early christmas eh ;) so we had an excellent photoshoot session in full gear after that. the bad bit of news came in later. out of the seven, who took the test, only 3 members passed and they were all backs. our mid and front players failed. so, round 2 grilling for those, who failed while thiru and i consulted on how to go about improving the team.

i wonder, if i will get a shot at paintball stardom in the near future. wish me luck. my jersey, pants, t-shirt, gloves, harness and cap, courtesy of System X are now proudly hanging in my room. go me..yeah :D

Oh, you rock, dude…just had to let you know.

I like the random tidbits of trivial information. Also, I’m feeling the adam/eve theory…because…ummm…well, I’ma chocolate fan, and I can SOOOOO see how candy will get ya into trouble.

Especially entertained (and saddened, at the same time) by Floppy’s short, but sweet tenure with you and your fam. Petshop animals…now there’s a good documentary. I had a dog named Buffy back when I was little…little cocker spaniel my dad brought home when my older sister refused to let go of her. $500 expense. She was sick, yeah…had a severe (and smelly) skin condition…not to mention she pissed on the floor everytime somebody stood up. Years later, she still had a nervous problem, and the skin condition worsened. Anyway…somebody finally stole her and took her to a hospital. We’d reported her missing, and were contacted by the police who told us where she was. We were so moved by his concern that we let him keep her. A sick animal can be an expense. That was my longwinded way of saying, you made the right decision.

anyway, that’s all I wanted to say. That you rock…and I enjoyed my little stay here. Be cool.
