the eye
this has no relation whatsoever to the horror movie with the same title. sometime ago, my friend and I were having a casual ‘crap’ session. it was something along the lines of buying a digital camera or a mobile cum digicam. as usual, we both had our different points of view on this matter. one thing, however, stuck with me. it was something we both agreed on. the eye, never takes a bad picture. it’s true. we tend to capture each and every moment in perfect clarity. the eyes are the lense and the mind, our digital canvas. this holds true for all emotions, sad, happy, angry and so forth. every moment is captured with one single image that is TRUE to the moment.
the best part of all, i get to keep them alongside me all the time. the sweet, the bitter and the crazy. just last night, as i was about to doze off, i suddenly had a recollection of memories driving my friend around. he loves to stick his elbow out of my car whenever the windows are down. i’ve told him time and time again, one day, a motorist is gonna take his hand off if he doesn’t keep it in. then i took things in my own hands by driving real close to this bush and he snapped at me for my attempt to have him arm-less. haha. i had a good chuckle at that one. ahh…beautiful memories.
everyday, i’m a photographer with my God given pair of eyes. i wonder how much space all my pictures would fill, if I were to store it on a hard drive? hell, i’d be broke i guess. i hope i will still be able to take pictures with my eyes when i’m too old to do anything else. the sad thing is, no one will ever see them in the same light as me.
Well i do… i know what exactly you trying to say…and i would like to add that we not only need our eyes(Gods gift) to capture the images we like or we dun like, we also need our brain(Gods gift too) to process the images we see and process it in our brain to see if we would like to retain it in our hard drive.Sometimes, reality might hurt not because you see something that hurts you but you hear something that you dun like to hear… The choice is ours….
that is true! sometimes, we also keep hurtful pictures, but i think they are there to serve a purpose. to remind us about life and how it is not always a bed of roses. to analyze the picture and to learn from it, so that we may not make the same mistake or let others make the same mistake (to us) again.
