Rant issue #2: aim, aim gawd dammit people!

if malaysian dudes (generalization) were to go to war with rifles, and shoot like they do in the washrooms/restrooms/loo/lavatory/toilet, i guess half our army would be decimated even before the opposition fires a single round. why, you ask? coz they can’t aim for jack!!! they can hit anything besides the bowl. the floor, the pipes, the cover but not the GODDAMN bowl! what the hell is wrong with these dudes?! you’re suppose to shoot, not spray! is that so hard a concept to sink in? i have had enough of stepping into a cubicle only to find a puddle of yellowy piss on the floor or on the cover, as a matter of fact, all over the friggin loo.

i wonder how the fairer sex fares on this issue. it’s just so wrong people. this occurance is under ‘normal’ circumstances; read everyday problem. there have been worse encounters. i nicknamed the dude, the shitter. he leaves his package on the floor on the cubicle and closes the door slightly to snare unsuspecting victims. along comes another dude, who has to answer the call of nature URGENTLY and half rams, half pushes the door open and walks in. he is greeted with a foot full of sh!t. what gives people? it’s a battlefield in the toilets here in malaysia. minefields, stray ‘bullets’. brace yourselves my fellow duders, and tread with caution in…the malaysian loo!!

that’s it for todays rant. i will dig up more fantastic issues, which has always bugged me.

ode to my friends

i look back and marvel at how times have changed. technology, country, world and many more. one thing doesn’t change much from what i see though. i like to call them my friends. this is a dedication to those heroes and heroines, who have stood the test of time and tribulations. through thick and thin. they have stood by me or beside me or above me and below me. stood by me when we were as a team. beside me when i needed the support. above me when i needed a pull. below me when i needed a lift. we may have chosen different paths in life, but our bond remains steadfast. how long? only time will tell.

i recently had two days off and since my parents were in South Africa, i decided to re-setablish some loose ties between fellow mates. we wanted to visit redang island, but the tour agency wa such a rip-off. fools wanted to wash their hands clean of certain travel arrangements. how the hell is this suppose to help our tourism industry? how are we suppose to promote our country to foreigners, when we can’t even look after our own citizens. why the double standards practiced here? go figure. so much for the Cuti Cuti Malaysia campaign. millions on advertising wasted due to imbeciles. they’d better buck up and learn from our neighbours Thailand and Singapore. well, suffice to say, we ended up in good old Port Dickson again at the weekend house. thank goodness the grass was kept in check due to the dry bout recently. 3 glorious days at the beach. what was missing most of the time, was the crowd. i guess the tsunami really hit people hard, both mentally and spiritually. however, the saying holds true, less man more share.

i believe what my dad said is true. it’s not all about the place, it’s also the company. i really enjoyed our laughs and craziness. the bbq, the gin rummy league, the beachin and the seafood binge. forget about work for a bit and let loose. the irony of all this is, i’m typing this from work. it’s clear i have a lot of catching up to do. wish me luck.
